This page compiles published data on AI in social media marketing, drawing on Capterra’s GenAI for Social Content survey, Digital Applied’s 2026 tools analysis, and visual-content research from ArtSmart and Digital Silk.
The AI Behavior Index is the research arm of OneChat AI, an integrated multi-model AI platform. We compile and analyze data from primary research sources to make AI adoption and market trends more accessible to journalists, researchers, and decision-makers.
Why the "48% AI-generated" figure is a plan, not a measurement: it comes from a survey asking businesses what share of social content they intend to generate with AI by 2026 — an intent/plan measure, not an audit of published posts. We label it accordingly. The tool comparison reflects advertised capabilities, not independently verified performance or market share.
Methodology notes: each chart cites its source. Engagement-lift figures (~25–40%) are self-reported by early adopters and carry selection bias. The tool chart is an illustrative capability comparison, not a ranking or share-of-market measure. The authenticity figures combine multiple consumer studies to show the tension and should be read as indicative rather than from one dataset.
